This weekend (May 28 – 31) is the 38th Figawi Race, the annual sailing race from Hyannis to Nantucket. Celebrated each Memorial Day Weekend, the race is well known throughout New England and as far as California, Canada, and Key West. Participants are a mix of experienced sailors and amateurs, with a variety of boats; some luxury, some simple; sprinkled with a few famous yachts.
